Friday July 2nd: Mid Season Championships at Deming Speedway made for a great night of racing! With line ups decided by points Rachel had to qualify for her starting position in the B feature. Rach qualified first and started pole in the B main and never looked back. With an early fast time and B main win, Rachel went into the main event with her confidence high. After starting 13th in the main event and battling up from the back twice, Rach managed to avoid the wrecks and finish 7th. The car went back into the trailer in one piece and Rachel raced great. We had a blast and couldn't wait for Saturday!
Saturday July 3rd: On Saturday Rachel qualified 8th and won her heat race right off the bat. She showed the boys how it was done with over a straightaway lead on second place. Rachel started 8th in the main event and kept it in the top five the whole race until with 3 to go an unavoidable wreck happened right in front of her. She got her spot back but realized her brakes were stuck which ended Rach's top 5 night early. It was a good night all in all, with a heat race win in her name. We'll be back at Deming next Friday to get some more racing in, come check us out!Rachel's is now a Senior at Bothell High School! Congratulations Rach, you're almost done!
